'Teen Mom 2' Star Leah Messer & Ex-Husband Corey Simms Resume Custody Battle Over Twins

Leah Messer is struggling with her life in general. While undergoing  rehabilitation days after her divorced with ex-husband Jeremy Calvert was finalized, she is in for another battle. This time, she is up against her first ex-husband, Corey Simms, over their twins' custody.

The joint custody agreement Messer and Simms agreed on last December didn't last for long. Just recently, the two are fighting each other for a full custody of their 5-year-old twins, Radar Online reports.

Simms, 25, is allegedly working with West Virginia lawyer Rusty Webb again. The two are said to be fighting for the full custody of the girls. Webb confirmed Simms to be one of his clients, but refused to comment about the case.

Messer, 23, Simms' ex-wife and the mother of the twins, is said to be dating a much older personal trainer, Theodore "T.R." Dues. Radar Online reports that Messer is currently under rehabilitation due to her problems with prescription painkillers.  

Insiders revealed that when Messer found out about Simms' plan to take the twins away, she initially refused to continue her medication. Messer was afraid to lose the twins and preferred to sort out the matter before she gets into rehabilitation. The odds favored Messer, Simms was hesitant to enter the legal proceedings over the twins' custody. However, he eventually agreed.

Messer's emotional issues and drug problems were the reasons Corey deemed her unfit to be a good mother to their twins. Insiders told Radar Online that Corey will continue the battle and will not stop until he is sure that his girls are safe.

Inquisitr reports that Messer and Simms separated after the latter found out that Messer cheated on him just hours after their wedding. Simms dumped Messer and she started dating Jeremy Calvert. The two married after a year. However their marriage was filled with infidelity rumors from both sides. It was Calvert, who initiated to end their marriage. He filed for divorce in November 2014.

Calvert claimed that he caught the "Teen Mom 2" star with Robbie Kid, the same man she cheated on Simms with, Inquisitr notes. The family of Messer's current boyfriend has nothing bad to say; they were all praises to Dues. This is despite reports that Messer and Dues' relationship started even before the former was legally divorced to second ex-husband, Calvert.

And the good news for Messer: Calvert has no plans of getting a full custody over their 2-year-old daughter, Adalynn.

A source told Radar Online, "When Leah comes home, they will share joint custody of Addie." "Jeremy remained considerate to Leah," the source added.
