Katherine Heigl Fights Pregnancy Cravings; ‘Doubt’ Star Blames TV Show Sets’ Catered Sweets

Just like many pregnant moms, Katherine Heigl is no stranger to pregnancy cravings. The actress makes an extra effort to control her cravings for junk food, but there are times when it can be hard especially while she's at work.

Heigl admitted that she is "trying really hard to stop" giving into junk food such as donuts. The "Doubt" star recently told Entertainment Tonight that she feels like she has to indulge in one donut a week and stop thinking about the treat afterwards.

This approach may be manageable, but the real challenge comes when Heigl arrives on set, where there are always catered confections that can be easily grabbed. Heigl shared, "If I'm not on set, I don't think about them that much. And I don't eat them because they're not around. But on set, crafty always has a plethora of donuts in really pretty pink boxes and I can't stop thinking about them."

The 37-year-old former "Grey's Anatomy" star will give birth to a baby boy in January. She and her husband, musician Josh Kelley, already have two adopted daughters, 7-year-old Naleigh Mi-Eun and 4-year-old Adalaide Marie Hope, according to People.

The couple announced the pregnancy last June. In a statement released via People, Heigl and Kelley said that Adalaide and Naleigh "could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold." The couple, who married each other in 2007, said that they are "overflowing with joy and gratitude."

Just recently, Kelley shared a post on Instagram showcasing Naleigh and her life goals written and drawn on a piece of paper. The child's work titled "Four Things That I Would Be When I Grow Up" indicated that she wants to be a singer, actor, doctor and horseback rider.

Naleigh was adopted by Heigl and Kelley from South Korea in September 2009 when the girl was just 9 months old, Yahoo! reported. Adalaide was domestically adopted in 2012. Talking about her decision to adopt, Heigl said that her adopted sister, Megan, is also Korean and she wanted her own family "to resemble" the one she came from.

Their third child's arrival came as a surprise, though. Heigl recounted on her blog, Those Heavenly Days, about how they didn't expect a pregnancy given her advanced maternal age, but everything turned out for the better.

Heigl will headline CBS's legal drama "Doubt," which also stars Steven Pasquale, Laverne Cox, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliott Gould and Kobi Libii, Entertainment Weekly listed. The series' official release date hasn't been announced yet.
