‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers, News & Update: Mommy Morningstar Goes Rogue

"Lucifer" is set to come back next week Monday, Oct. 3 with episode 2 of its season 2 After getting sidelined this week by the 2016 Presidential Debates, and it looks like Lucifer's (Tom Ellis) mother Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) is about to have some fun of her own in Los Angeles after finally getting out of Hell.

The gripping season 2 of the live action television series adaptation of the devilish character spawned from Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" began last week. As the "Lucifer" season 2 general sneak peek posted on the official "Lucifer" YouTube channel shows, this season looks set to tell its central story on the hellish relationship between Lucifer and his mother that began at the very end of the first season.

When "Lucifer" season 2 episode 1 ended, Charlotte finally showed up after Lucifer poured out his heart in another musical number. Only instead of a wrathful, demonic shriek like how Lucifer made her out to be, Mommy Morningstar stumbled into Lucifer's bachelor pad wounded and haggard.

Yet it seems like that Lucifer will not believe his mother's "wounded bird story," as the sneak peek for "Lucifer" season 2 episode 2 shared by Trending Promos on YouTube shows. And it looks like the former Lord of Hell might be on the ball a little, as the promotional video also shows that Charlotte will get into her own set of troubles.

Titled "Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire," "Lucifer" season 2 episode 2 will have the title character assign Maze (Leslie-Ann Brandt) to watch over his mother at some point. Unsurprisingly for a demon, Charlotte will knock out Maze and then go off on her own to indulge in the earthly mortal pleasures so deprived of her in the centuries she was sealed in Hell.

"Lucifer" fans can expect some laughs in season 2 episode 2, with the season's promo showing Charlotte dancing in the Lux in such a titillating manner it warrants a remark from the bartender. Lucifer, being the momma's boy that he is, is only horrified and chastises the bartender before he could "finish that thought."

All in all, "Lucifer" season 2 episode 2 seems like it will have the usual plethora of laughs and infernal thrill the show has come to embrace. Although just how much the episode will explore the relationship between Lucifer and his mother Charlotte, fans will just have to wait when the episode airs on Monday, Oct. 3.
