Jennifer Lawrence 'Mulan' Rumors Take a Back Seat as White Male Love Interest Hinted by Leaked Script

Jennifer Lawrence "Mulan" speculations previously sent fans of the Disney animation into a frenzy. As much as JLaw is a well-liked Hollywood A-lister, fans are not excited to have her play the lead part in the rumored "Mulan" live-action movie.

Rumors previously surfaced suggesting that Disney is looking at casting the "Hunger Games" actress to play Mulan with Zac Efron as her love interest, Li Shang. This has sparked an outrage from fans who are tired of seeing Hollywood's white washing in films. Several concerned fans started a petition to stop Disney from casting Caucasian actors to play the roles of the Chinese characters, MTV reported.

Now that Jennifer Lawrence "Mulan" rumors have slowly died down, many are having high hopes that the upcoming live-action movie will be a good adaptation. However, a new report that recently surfaced online proved that the fans' dilemma is far from over.

Angry Asian Man recently got a hold of the alleged early draft of the "Mulan" live-action movie. While the script does not involve Jennifer Lawrence, it does however, involve a white male love interest.

According to the blog, Mulan's love interest will be a 30-year-old European trader that eventually helps the Chinese Imperial Army after seeing Mulan. But perhaps one of the most infuriating part of the script involves the alleged European love interest getting all the glory in the end and not Mulan.

Although there has been no confirmation whether the alleged leaked script is 100% true, fans are already reacting negatively since the "Mulan" live-action movie seems to start on the wrong foot. The "Mulan" live-action remake has been confirmed in early 2015, and reports are claiming that the upcoming Disney project is already in its early development stages.
