Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Continue Living Together to Co-Parent, Affleck Moving On & Set to Attend 2015 Comic-Con

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, in a joint statement, have just announced that they are divorcing after 10 years of marriage. The couple tried to make their marriage work by going through therapy, but after several years of trying, they just realized that this decision is the best for their family. However, with their announcement of a split-up, both still want to have an amicable breakup and will co-parent their three children: Violet, 9, Seraphin, 6, and Samuel, 3.

With co-parenting in mind, Mail Online has learned that Affleck and Garner will continue living together in their 8,800-square-foot Pacific Palisades mansion while the divorce is in process. However, Affleck will not be sharing the main house. In a report from Life & Style, the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star is building his "man cave" within the property, which is currently undergoing renovation.

A source tells Life & Style that the actor is constructing a section of the house as his private area with complete amenities including his bedroom. Unfortunately, the source revealed that Garner was not aware of Affleck's plans. She was not informed before he started the renovation.

Although the pair in their announcement in People wished to "go forward with love and friendship for one another," an insider revealed to Life & Style that the couple did not really had a friendly breakup. "They can barely be in the same room together without fighting," the source said.

The source also stated that Affleck will live on the same estate so Garner cannot argue in the divorce proceedings that he was an absentee dad.

On the other hand, Affleck is determined to put his divorce behind. The Oscar winner will make his first appearance following the divorce announcement at Comic-Con in San Diego with the rest of his co-stars in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, " Us Weekly confirms.

Director Zach Snyder believes that the "Argo" star provides an interesting counterbalance to Superman portrayed by Henry Cavill.

"He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne, " the director told Us Weekly.

Garner, on her appearance on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" in 2014, revealed that her now ex-partner had only "eight percent body fat" while shooting for the 2016 flick. According to Us Weekly, she even gushed, "He looks pretty good."

Prior to announcing their divorce, there were already rumors that the couple was having problems with their marriage. "They were going to divorce when Sam was born but you know how it is - baby comes and solves the issues for a bit but it's just a Band-Aid. It hasn't been working for ages," the insider told Us Weekly.
