Sacramento Pastor And Her Two Grandsons Killed; Suspect Believed To Be Daughter's Former Boyfriend

Sacramento police officials are now looking for a man named Jerod Watson as he is linked to a triple homicide that took place over the weekend. A pastor and her two grandsons were found dead at home on the 700 block of Broadway.

The Sacramento Bee reported that the 52-year-old man is considered armed and extremely dangerous. They advised that anyone who sees Watson should contact the police and not approach him. It is also being considered that Watson fled the state.

The victims were identified as 68-year-old Christine Lucas, a pastor in Sacramento. She and her two grandsons, 23-year-old Marquise Brown and 20-year-old James R. Ferrell, were found dead in an apartment at the Alder Grove housing project on Broadway. Brown is the father of a young girl while Ferrell recently graduated from high school.

Brown died of cutting and slashing wounds. Details about the cause of death of Ferrell, on the other hand, have yet to be revealed. Lucas died of stab wounds. Sacramento County Coroner Kimberly Gin said that the autopsy for Ferrell will most likely be completed by Wednesday.

Watson is said to be the former boyfriend of Twanna Lucas, the mother of Ferrell and Brown. Twanna was the one who discovered the bodies of the victims. Christine was the wife of the Rev. John Lucas and the pastor of Gloryland Revival Center. Brown worked at the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps while Ferrell was planning to attend American River College.

Watson has a history of domestic violence charges as per the court records. He is described as a black man, 5 feet and 10 inches tall. He reportedly weighs 180 pounds. He is most probably driving a white Mitsubishi Outlander with a California license plate 7CYL933, CBS reported.

Anyone who knows of Watson's whereabouts should call 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-4357. They could also submit anonymous tips via "P3 Tips," a smartphone app.
