‘Pokémon Sun’ And ‘Moon’ Unveils New PokéBall For Catching Ultra Beasts; Entire Alola Region Pokémon Revealed

A new data mine on "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" revealed a new PokéBall. Reports are claiming that this PokéBall is for catching Ultra Beasts, the dangerous group of Pokémon wandering in the Alola region.

Ultra Beasts are described on the "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" website as "mysterious creatures" that "possess mighty powers and could pose a threat to humans and Pokémon." There were previous speculations that Ultra Beasts cannot be captured because the monsters aren't listed with other new Pokémon on the franchise's official site. Nintendo, however, recently confirmed that Ultra Beasts can be caught in "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon."

Nintendo confirmed to Polygon at a recent event that Ultra Beasts can be caught. The news outlet said that it's still unknown what exactly Ultra Beasts are but they promised that more secrets will be unveiled about "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" soon.

There are eight Ultra Beasts in "Pokémon Sun and "Moon," with both normal and shiny sprites. A Pokémon representative recently said that Ultra Beasts will play a huge role into the "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" storyline and there are even speculations that Ultra Beasts shouldn't be considered as Pokémon.

Some players speculate that Ultra Beasts are transmogrified human beings. Reddit users compared the sprites to character art of human trainers and they found some resemblances. For instance, Aether Foundation group lead researcher Lusamine and enemy trainer Guzma have physical similarities to a certain Ultra Beast.

"Pokémon Sun" and "Moon's" full regional Pokédex was also revealed aside from Ultra Beasts. Check out the full list on Polygon.

The full regional Pokédex of "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" was discovered by some players who explored the game's first demo this week in Japan and other places. The names of the new Pokémon are still unknown but users got sprites.

According to data miners, there are 81 Pokémon specifically from the Alola region in "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon." These new creatures display vibrant colors on their bodies. The final evolutions of three starter Pokémon -- Rowlet, Popplio, and Litten -- were also revealed.

The "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" demo offers special rewards that players can transfer to their full copy of "Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" when they roll out next month. Several villagers around Hau'oli tell players to come back after a certain amount of time. For Oct. 23, users are advised to talk to the woman standing beside the street sign in the town's bottom left corner, BGR reported.

"Pokémon Sun" and "Moon" will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in the United States on Nov. 18. Users can pre-order the game on Amazon.
