Windows 10 Event Update: Microsoft To Release Surface Pro 5 Next Week?

Microsoft is believed to be releasing at least one Surface during its Oct. 26 event. The Surface Pro 5 could be that Surface based on the rumors circulating.

According to PC Advisor UK, Microsoft has announced a Windows 10 event will take place in New York on Oct. 26. This is a day ahead of Apple's launch of new Mac products on Oct. 27 in San Francisco.

It is however uncertain as to what will be launched on the said event, but it is speculated that it Surface Pro 5 can be part of it. Previously, it was thought that the release of Surface Pro 5 will happen in 2017 but it could be sooner than expected. This should come as good news generally.

Microsoft launched Surface Pro 4 back in Oct. 2015 so it may not be likely that a new version of Surface will be launched without passing the 12-month period. There is indeed that event on Oct. 26 however different products may be launched and not Surface Pro 5.

Rumors are circulating that other types of Surfaces may be launched on the said event. Instead of Surface Pro 5, Microsoft may launch another version of Surface 4, Surface Book 2, or a Surface All-in-One iMac rival.

The Surface Pro 5 may be launched Spring of 2017 as initially predicted. The reason behind this is because of rumors that Microsoft is intentionally delaying the second part of the large-scale Windows 10 Update early next year. This update is known as Redstone.

As shared by Techradar, the Surface Pro 5 will have longer battery life compared its predecessor. It is expected that the Surface Pro 5 will have at least seven hours of battery life upon release. Surface Pro 4 only last a little over 5 hours when use continually.
