Upcoming ‘ZTE Smartphone’ Unveils Its Features; The First Smartphone With Eye-Tracking System And Self-Adhesive Device

ZTE USA is about to release the first self-adhesive smartphone in the world. An Eye-Tracking feature will also be added to the next "ZTE smartphone" as the ZTE USA CEO confirmed.

Lixin Cheung, CEO of the ZTE USA announced that the upcoming "ZTE smartphone" will be something different, a smartphone with a unique feature that will stand out among its several competitors. The upcoming "ZTE smartphone" will have an Eye-Tracking feature and will be the first self-adhesive, not only as a smartphone but as a handheld device.

The 9To5 reported that the design and features were taken from the winning piece from the Project CSX. Project CSX is a contest that the ZTE held to gather ideas around the world from different consumers. Won with 36% total votes, the new set of features is on top of the 2nd top vote which is an intelligent cover.

The new "ZTE smartphone" will feature a 5.5-inche full HD touch screen with an amazing 16-megapixel rear camera. The camera is packed with the Eye-Tracking sensors at the top and bottom. As per the News Geek reported, the camera sensor will allow the user to scroll web pages using the eye movement. This is a pretty unique and awesome feature.

The Eye-Tracking system will also be used for an enhanced security for the "ZTE smartphone." A split camera which is located at the top and the bottom of the phone will be tracking the eye of the owner.

In a report made by The Verge, the ZTE self-adhesive feature will be at the back of the phone. The user can attach the new "ZTE smartphone" on the wall to have a better view and angle of the Eye-Tracking system.

It has been confirmed that the new "ZTE smartphone" is currently in development using the features of the winning design. Though ZTE hasn't mentioned about the release date, but it is expected to launch in mid-2017.
