17-Year-Old Boy Surrenders After Getting Involved In Shooting A Good Samaritan In Philly

A 17-year-old boy involved in a shootout in Philadelphia surrendered to the police after he was said to have shot a good Samaritan at Rittenhouse Square, October 18. The teen was trying to stop a robbery when it happened that he shot the victim.

In an article published by NBC Philadelphia, the teenager remained anonymous in this case since he is a minor. Police reports say that he turned himself into the police at 4 am on October 22, as accompanied by his father. He is currently under the custody of the cops and his family remains to be cooperating with the investigation.

The victim is a 39-year-old man who was on his bike when the robbery took place and then eventually got shot in the middle of it. He was rushed to the nearest hospital and was in critical condition due to the four bullets that struck the mid section of his body. The police spokesman, Chief Inspector Scott Small told the press that the victim is so far stable and is expected to survive the whole incident.

According to Fox News, the victim was also trying to help breakup the robbery in the exclusive neighborhood when little did he know he would get shot in the middle of it. There were witnesses who saw the crime since the area was filled with people dining at a restaurant near it. Some of the witnesses said that they saw the teen took the gun from another man involved in the robbery and fired it to the man riding his bike.
