Warriors' Draymond Green Claims Other Teams Are Trying to 'Punk' Them

Forward Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors claimed that other teams "are trying to punk" them in order to slow them down. His assertion came after defeating the Suns.

Green, who made the statement after the Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 106-100 Sunday night at Talking Stick Resort Arena, didn't point out any team or player, according to ESPN. Green hasn't been involved in any altercations in their first three games.

However, teammate Kevin Durant pushed New Orleans Pelicans guard Lance Stephenson, whom he felt was too aggressive in guarding him. Kevin Durant agreed with Draymond Green's assertions and said that other teams are coming to them physically and are pressuring them to get them out of their rhythm.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry also had his share of being roughed up. He was bumped from behind by Phoenix Suns reserve guard Brandon Knight after draining a 3-pointer. That sent the two-time NBA MVP crashing to the floor. An irate Stephen Curry retaliated by shoving Brandon Knight and was consequently called for a foul. Phoenix Suns starting guard Eric Bledsoe was also shoving and grabbing Stephen Curry.

Nonetheless, whether or not other teams are being too rough on them, it is apparent that the Golden State Warriors have not yet meshed so far this NBA season and were relying on new recruit Kevin Durant on offense. Kevin Durant sank 37 points to help eclipse the Phoenix Suns.

Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr admitted that the team is  getting frustrated on how slowly they are gelling. Draymond Green admitted in an interview with TNT Analyst David Aldridge they were adjusting to  new pieces in the team, although he added that they have been clicking, NBA.com reported.

The Warriors' usual run-and-gun offense is so far nonexistent this season. In fact, their offense is burdened by hesitancy and doubt. Whispers about not becoming "that good" is getting louder. Stephen Curry expected that foul ups in trying to incorporate Kevin Durant into their flow and the resulting criticisms were bound to happen.
