According to 3ders, Wolfprint 3D's goal is to have new egg-shaped scanning devices installed in malls all over the world and is used like just like a regular photo booth.

Wolfprint 3D's new scanning booth was recently featured in a mall in Estonia. Visitors then excitedly lined up to try Wolfprint 3D innovation of scanning themselves. The service offered by Wolfprint 3D is also going to be significantly inexpensive than the usual 3D scanning services.

Before a 3D scan could easily mean around $400 US in extra cost. However, this is not the direction Wolfprint 3D wants to take. Wolfprint 3D then created portable egg shaped 3D scanners which can offer the same scans but will almost no cost.

Wolfprint 3D is hoping to be part of the growing field of Virtual Reality. Wolfprint 3D is offering people an easy and affordable way to come up and create their own customized 3D avatars. To date, Wolfprint 3D has built four egg-shaped 3D scanning pods.

Beyond social interactions in Virtual Reality, the realistic looking avatars could also have wider use and participation in gaming and the retail market. Wolfprint 3D is already in the process of talking to movie studios to help them with necessary promotional work.

It is expected that the cost of Wolfprint 3D's 3D scanning pods is at $8,000 US. This may come a little expensive but with the popularity of Virtual Reality, it may give back a revenue of $50,000 US.
