NFL News, Updates & Schedule: Browns' Joe Haden Excited To Face Cowboys' Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Dez Bryant got to play against the Cleveland Browns only once in his career back in 2012 when the Cowboys beat the Browns in overtime 23-20. However, Browns' cornerback, Joe Haden was in the sidelines for the entire duration of the contest because of a pulled oblique muscle, an injury he sustained in practice the week prior to the match up.

Nonetheless, Haden will finally get the chance to square up against Bryant this week as the Cowboys are scheduled to face the Browns on Monday, Nov. 7. Haden was drafted 17 picks before Bryant in the 2010 NFL Draft.

In a report by Cleveland OH Local News, Haden says that Bryant is one of his friends. He also mentioned Bryant's affiliation with the Jordan team which, in his opinion, is something to be talked about in the off-season.

Both Haden and Bryant have been struggling with injuries as of late. Haden has suffered two groin injuries this season missing games against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, and back-to-back against the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals in Weeks 6 and 7. Last week, Haden returned from injury against the New York Jets.

In the case of Bryant, he sustained an injury in the Cowboys' 31-17 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. He then missed three games before playing against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. Haden was reportedly happy to see Bryant return.

Bryant has also uttered a few kind words for Haden. In an interview with Dallas Cowboys Official Website, he stated that Haden is very capable and "extremely athletic." He then explained that when going up against Haden, one has to be on top of his game. The interview can be found in the .

The Cowboys currently hold a 6-1 record in the season. For the Browns, they have not been able to earn a victory so far in the season, carrying a 0-8 record.

Are you excited to see the Haden-Bryant matchup? Will the Cowboys continue their hot streak, or will the Browns be able to produce a huge upset? Let us know what you think!
