Women's Health: Know The Swiss Chocolate That Is Specifically Formulated To Soothe Period Pains

Most women go through excruciating pain when they have their period. Period pains are one of the worst conditions that women have to go through as some could not be alleviated by medication. With numerous alternatives to relieve menstrual cramps, one of the best options was manufactured by a Swiss chocolate company called, "Chocolate with Love."

A Swiss chocolate company came up with a way to help women who struggle with menstrual cramps every time they'd have their period. Independent reports that "Chocolate with Love" is specifically formulated for women who struggle with dysmenorrhea.

The dark chocolate is called Frauenmond, which is a German term for "woman's moon." Marc Widmer, the man behind the chocolate that alleviates menstrual cramps, told 20 Minuten that he drew inspiration from a group of farmers that manufactures tea of the same name. He stated that the farmers taught him how to come up with the right blend of ingredients that can give women relief when they'd struggle with their monthly period.

Widmer then added that he was taught to use specific ingredients, which include a variety of herbs from the Swiss Alps that produces a calming effect. It was mentioned the one Frauenmond chocolate bar contains a total of 60 percent cocoa and 17 different types of herbs, which help the chocolate bar to effectively increase the serotonin and regulated blood flow.

The chocolate may be the best thing that women can get a hold of while going through period cramps, but Widmer explains that it should not be used as a medical substitute. It was then highlighted that the Frauenmond chocolate IS NOT a medicinal product, thus consulting health care professionals in dealing with severe menstrual cramps is still the best option.
