'Modern Family' Spoiler Updates: Family Comedy Show To Welcome Peyton Manning And Another Guest Star On The Show

"Modern Family" is down to its 8th season and the cast will be welcoming a new family member. The American television series will soon welcome a Super Bowl champion, Peyton Manning for the show's upcoming episodes.

Gloria, who is portrayed by Sofia Vergara, dished out a major spoiler as revealed "Modern Family's" special guest for the future episodes. Sofia Vergara posted a photo where she announced that Peyton Manning is photobombing her, which gave out speculations that he will be seen in the future episodes on "Modern Family."

In addition to Peyton Manning's guest appearance announcement, his role was discussed as well. Peyton Manning's role on "Modern Family" would be in line with this sport. The former quarterback will be playing the role of a sports coach where he will play the character of Coach Gary. Peyton Manning will be baby Joe's coach where he will be taught the basics of throwing and catching.

Peyton Manning's character will be having a competitive conflict with Gloria's husband, Jay as he was once a football player in high school. Jay would have a competitive feel as Gloria can't help but appreciate Coach Gary's skills.

Hollywood Reported then dished out the details as to how Peyton Manning made it to the "Modern Family." It was mentioned that Manning came across the "Modern Family" creator, Steve Levitan in Mexico, where he was offered a guest appearance on the show.

Aside from Peyton Manning, "Modern Family" will also welcome another surprise guest as it was announced that Nathan Fillion will be joining them the next season. Nathan Fillion will be playing the role of Rainer Shine, who is affiliated with Phil Dunphy as reported by TV Line.

"It's kind of a niche for me to play characters who are vain but don't know that they're vain. It's something I'm practiced at. It's very easy to laugh at a character who's that stupid. He's kind, he's nice, he's sort of charming, but he's just so cheesy and so flawed."
