Conor McGregor left the octagon triumphant, as he was able to cash in a major paycheck. According to JOE, Conor McGergor was offered a deal worth $15 to $20 million for UFC 205.

"By the time 2016 closes out," Conor McGregor stated. "I'll be closing in on $40 million. It's been a 40 million year for me."

Conor McGregor was once caught in a conflict with the UFC president Dana White. In his statement, Conor McGregor highlighted that his promotion highly affects his training as it sidetracks his focus.

"I am paid to fight. I am not yet paid to promote," Conor McGregor wrote. "I feel the $400.0 million I have generated for the company in my last three events, all inside eight months, is enough to get me this slight leeway."
