'Orange Is The New Black' Season 5 Canceled? What's In Store For 'OINTB' Amid Cancelation Rumors

With Poussey's (Samira Wiley) death in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 4 and Piper (Taylor Schilling) reportedly signing off the Netflix series, the future of "OITNB" after Season 5 looks uncertain. Word is that the black comedy series might be canceled as producers are finding it hard to put characters together, among other constraints that emerge even before "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 premieres.

The death of one of the most loved "OITNB" characters, Poussey, has made fans wonder how the Netflix series will continue to be groundbreaking. But all the while, news of another main character death has spiraled around the internet, as Taylor Schilling revealed during a PopSugar interview that she is uncertain of how Piper Chapman will do in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5. Killing off a main character is such a risky move, and if that happens, it will be hard to maintain interest for "OITNB," which gives rise that sooner or later it may be canceled.

Plot-wise concerns are not only the things that are rumored to be pushing "Orange Is The New Black" to its death. Per Cinema Blend, it was said that the characters portraying as inmates have hectic schedules.

Fans haven't heard a word yet from Matt McGorry's C.O. John Bennett as when he would come back. Taystee (Danielle Brook) and Soso (Kimiko Glenn) are lucky enough to be portrayed in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 4 even though both stars are busy with their respective Broadway careers.

Further, Taryn Manning, who plays as Pennsatucky is in peril of being out of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 as she recently admitted that she struggles with sobriety. The 37-year-old star admitted that she has hit "rock bottom" and is seeking out for help to get through her adversaries, says TMZ.

"OINTB" Season 5 air date is yet to be announced by the streaming giant. However, fans speculate that it will come out in June 2017, just as how previous "Orange In The New Black" seasons had premiered in the last years.
