'Ghostbuster 3' Cast News & Update: Actresses Visit Children's Hospital, Blasted By Online Trolls [Details]

The all-female cast of the new "Ghostbusters" movie surprised patients at a Boston hospital when they made a visit.

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones arrived at the Tufts Medical Center last Saturday. Wearing their "Ghostbusters" uniform, they greeted and mingled with the patients currently being treated there, according to FOX 8. The film is being filmed in the said city.

According to E! Online, the idea for the surprise visit sprang when the cast and crew saw an artwork by the patients from the Floating Hospital for Children at the Tufts Medical Center that said, "Who ya gonna call?" — a famous catchphrase from the movie.

Tufts Medical Center announced the cast's visit on their Facebook page and posted photos of the stars with the patients and staff. "Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones came to visit! Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! ‪#‎WhoYouGonnaCall ‪#‎Ghostbusters," the announcement stated.

However, the visit was not received so kindly by other users on the social media site.

Some of the comments expressed their criticism of the film. With its all-female concept for the reboot, some fans didn't exactly welcome the idea. Soon after, the thread on Facebook turned into a full-on debate about the upcoming movie, upsetting other users.

"All the people who come to this page will not see the positive comments.....They will only see the negative. You negative people disgust me. It is of poor taste to spread hate on such a page as this. And it is an embarrassment to all true Ghostbuster fans. Do us all a favor and log off the internet and go find some common sense," said one commenter.

Tufts Medical Center was forced to issue a reminder saying, "Please remember our Facebook policy is that any comments with profanity will be deleted. Thank you."
