'This Is Us' Season 1 Spoilers: Jack-Rebecca Divorce Imminent? Here's Why Their Marriage Broke Up Before He Died

Jack and Rebecca's divorce on "This Is Us" seems like an imminent situation. The most recent episode of the NBC drama suggests that their marriage could have already broken up even before Jack died.

In "This Is Us" Season 1 Episode 7, which aired on Tuesday, Nov. 15, viewers saw how Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) has slowly lost touch with his wife, Rebecca (Mandy Moore). Jack also told his best friend Miguel (Jon Huertas) that their marriage is in a different place on "This Is Us," and he can't quite get a grip of how to handle this.

Mandy Moore agrees that the beloved "This Is Us" TV couple is not in the "greatest place" in their marriage. "Things are strained and there's a real disconnect so it will be interesting to see if and how they find their way back together," the actress told Entertainment Tonight.

But would Jack and Rebecca really find their way back? Screener TV suggests that the Pearsons are heading for divorce on "This Is Us." Rebecca has come to a realization that her husband doesn't care about her trying to pursue her passion of singing, as seen on "This Is Us." Meanwhile, Jack has been wrapped up in his own career. Thus, the divorce is going to happen and the only question is -- when will this play out on the show?

As it is, the show has three more unaired episodes before the midseason finale. "This Is Us" airs its Thanksgiving episodes, "Pilgrim Rick" on Nov. 22 and "The Trip" on Nov. 29, plus "Last Christmas" on Dec. 6.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Helen Hunt will direct the "This Is Us" Christmas episode. It hints of another emotional ride. Could the Pearson triplets be losing their father before the show takes a break?

"This Is Us" has become the most popular new show this season. Its ratings continue to rise week after week, according to Broadcasting Cable. Keep checking back to this site for more news about the series.
