Why Parents Should Ditch Spanking As A Form Of Discipline

Parenting is always like a maze, mothers and fathers always find themselves dealing with one fuss or another. To make a child abide by the rules, sometimes parents have to show their tougher sides, but in the course of doing so, none of them wants to be the evil one in the eyes of their children.

Mothers are mostly going through under a lot of pressure while dealing with kids tantrums, but in recent times the idea of NOT punishing a child physically has become famous. According to The Stir, research by Georgetown University demonstrates and analyzes the changes in parenting patterns of mothers about their toddlers.

There has been a considerable change in maternal parenting techniques which does not involve spanking and another kind of physical abuse. According to Forbes, child abuse, and physical punishments tend to make an enormous negative impact on children in numerous ways. Children who are spanked tend to become more anti-social and develop greater tendencies toward aggression at school or other social situations. They are more likely to misbehave even more and risk themselves ending up having mental health issues even in adulthood.

Kids become more aggressive and anti-social, have more mental health problems from childhood into adulthood and misbehave more and are more likely to end up abused.

Parents develop the habit of hitting their children once they think that it's the only way to make a child obedient and disciplined. There are cases where parents even spanked babies. But the child who has been abused react to this practice differently.

Children often become rude, arrogant and aggressive; they start lying, anxiety and depression follow in such events. Mental destabilization is a common side effect experienced.

Parents who had suffered a childhood of physical abuse and spanking are often reasoned and counseled to make them realize that their child could not benefit any more from hitting and beating than you did. Nonetheless, some moms still advocate a little spanking in times of children mischiefs.
