Romanian Teen Cries ‘Mama! Mama!’ Raped, Stabbed, But Survived And Had Google Translate To Explain What Happened

A teen was dragged out of pizza restaurant and raped at knifepoint Tuesday, Nov.22. The victim was working in Epsom, Surrey when Costica Voedes was allegedly drawn the victim by force towards the park where he raped the teen.

The 17-year-old continuously screamed "mama, mama!" in a desperate plea for help when she was being dragged and being raped, a jury heard the same day the incident happened. The suspect reportedly got access at the back door that was left open due to the hot weather.

The teen girl was commanded to remove her clothes before she was raped twice. When she cried out for her mother, she was stabbed in the stomach and bitten in her mouth. The accused wanted her to die, according to a report by SUN.

By holding her breath, the teen rape victim was able to convince him she had died. She was left bleeding on the ground before fleeing the long grass in the nearby Court Recreation Ground in Epsom, as heard in the court.

The rape victim, who is a Romanian national and cannot be named, was found by police officers and taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting. From the hospital, the victim was given a chance to use Google Translate to tell staff that she was raped.

The Guildford Crown Court jury was told that the teenager had a "harrowing ordeal" at the hands of the 33-year-old suspect, who is also accused of raping the girl's mother. Jurors heard the attack on the teen happened after Voedes was released on bail. This was after the arrest for assaulting the 36-year-old mother.

Voedes denies five counts of rape, wounding with intent, making threats to kill, and attempted murder. During his interview with detectives, he repeatedly said "no comment."

The jury was told Voedes had admitted various charges that relate to the attack. His charges relate to his possession of an offensive weapon, kidnap, witness intimidation, and wounding with intent.

One out of six women is being raped in America according to statistics. The figures also show that 16 percent of rapes in America are not reported. The teen girl's situation should not have been reported, but fortunately, it was.
