'Pokémon Go' News & Update: Ditto Release Confirmed! Let The Hunt Begin!

Rumors about a new Pokémon breaking out on the Pokémon Go app have been prevalent the past few days. The other day, a rare Pokémon Ditto was reportedly released into the app.

Good news, good news! It has been confirmed today that a new Pokémon has been released - Ditto, the giant pink blob.

Pokémon trainers are raving about the news. Ditto, considered to be a rare Pokémon, is not going to show up as expected.

If you are wondering how to find Ditto, he might have been inserting himself into the app disguised as another Pokémon. You will not know if you've already caught him not until you capture the Pokémon he has transformed into.

Reports have it that the most common Pokémon, such as Rattata, Pidgey, Spearow, and Magikarp, are the ones hiding the Ditto. Once you catch any of these, it will turn into Ditto. You can also use lures and incense to catch him.

If you are a casual player, you might not notice that you already have captured Ditto. This transformation is a totally new mechanic and his signature move. Some of those who caught Ditto did not even realize at first until they checked their caches or logs.

Pay attention! Ditto will eventually show up. You might even catch multiple Dittos. After all, patience is a virtue everyone should have.

According to reports, there are already lots of Pokémon trainers who caught Ditto. With the player population of Pokémon Go worldwide, it will be hard to measure how many trainers already caught the rare Pokémon.

Ditto's known feature is transformation. If you catch a Ditto and use him to fight in gyms, he transforms and copies the look and moves of whatever Pokémon you are up against.

The new Pokémon Ditto is a 3KM buddy. You can increase his CP just by walking. We still don't know if this is the only revelation we'll get to hear about Ditto as some reports suggest that he will be a battling powerhouse. Let's wait and see.

For now, let's celebrate this new addition as we also celebrate Thanksgiving! A little Ditto hunting won't hurt. Remember not to turn your backs from Rattata or Pidgey.
