‘Street Fighter 5’ News & Updates: Laura Gets Sombra Skin Mod

"Street Fighter 5" saw a new character appear. Sombra is the latest "Overwatch" character to show up in Capcom's fighting game series. It appears that there is a new mod that changes the hacker's appearance in place of Laura Matsuda.

"Overwatch's" Sombra has been released for almost all the platforms for about two weeks. After its release, the expert hacker has become popular among the fans of the game. The popularity of Sombra increased multi-folds that the character hacked her way into a totally different game, "Street Fighter 5."

As reported, a creative modder has found a way to create a Sombra skin for fighter Laura Matsuda. It is true that some of the players of "Street Fighter 5" did take note of Sombra's reveal at BlizzCon 2016. It was revealed that the "Overwatch" character bears a resemblance to Laura. The modder took this seriously and the creation was released, reported GameRant.

In "Street Fighter 5," Laura's abilities and emotes still look and sound the same while skinned. However, it is hilarious when "Sombra" use a decidedly different accent than what players are accustomed to. The modder also managed to create "Street Fighter 5" skins for Mei, Tracer and Reinhardt, reported Siliconera.

It is reported that Overwatch's unique character designs have attracted a lot of fighting game fans to Blizzard's popular FPS. The combining of the two games feels pretty natural. Blizzard has announced that it will take a little time until it releases another "Overwatch" hero.

It is announced by Capcom that it envisions continued updates for "Street Fighter 5" until 2020. True to their word, the developer recently released a new stage that lets players go at it while fighting on the wing of a moving airplane. The fans of the game are looking forward to next week's PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California, as Capcom has teased an upcoming character reveal for Akuma.
