Heartless Tutor Breaks 7-Year-Old Student’s Jaw For Being Unruly; Child Missing Two Teeth After Tutor Threw Him Against The Wall

A seven-year-old elementary student allegedly acted unruly resulting in the tutor throwing him against a wall. The student suffered a broken jaw, two missing teeth and head trauma.

Patch reported that the incident took place at a Baltimore City elementary school. The tutor was identified as 25-year-old Timothy Randall Korr. He has been charged with first and second-degree child abuse, first and second-degree assault, neglect of a minor and reckless endangerment.

Charges were filed after investigators reviewed the evidence, such as a video of the encounter. The school was identified as City Springs Elementary School located at 100 block of South Caroline Street.

Baltimore Police Chief of Media Relations TJ Smith said that the video was difficult to watch because the boy's body was slammed against a wall and his body went limp. He described the boy like being manhandled like a sack of potatoes. They condemned the tutor's behavior noting that it was despicable, disgusting and incomprehensible.

The tutor, who is with the Baltimore Curriculum Project, claimed that he was carrying the child out of the classroom as he was being disruptive in class. However, he said that he lost his footing and then hit a wall. The seven-year-old was then taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Center and it was found out that he had major trauma to the head. Investigators were called in to investigate the possibility of child abuse.

The mother of the child, Lateekqua Jackson, said in a statement, "I looked in the ambulance and there's my son, his face big, mouth bloody. I turned to the man, I said, 'This isn't regular restraint.'" The mother added that the boy could not throw himself into the wall and suffer from a fractured jaw and loose two of his teeth in the process. The child's mother also noted that her son is so small that he could not do such damage to himself, CNN reported.

Meanwhile, Korr has since been terminated in his employment with the Baltimore Curriculum Project. He remains in custody at Central Booking as a court commissioner is yet to meet with him. The child, on the other hand, remains to be hospitalized.
