‘Vikings’ Season 4 Spoilers: Ragnar & Lagertha Rekindling Their Romance? Episode 2 Plot Revealed

Episode 11 of "Vikings" Season 4 featured a much-needed interaction between Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). The estranged couple's reunion spurred fans into thinking whether a romantic reconciliation is in the cards for them.

In episode 11 titled "The Outsiders," Ragnar asked for Lagertha's assistance in his trip to England to accuse King Ecbert (Linus Roache) of terminating the Viking settlement. The latest "Vikings" episode also featured the former lovers talking about Ragnar's rule and their rocky relationship.

Ragnar told Lagertha that they don't regret what they are doing in their lives, to which she replied, "No regrets, yet, every regret." This implies that maybe Lagertha is still harboring feelings for Ragnar despite their terrible past. According to TV Guide, Lagertha is reminded of the child she lost every time she sees Ragnar, making their relationship a bittersweet one.

In episode 11 of "Vikings" Season 4, Lagertha told Ragnar that she will not be accompanying him to his trip to England. The two's meeting, however, ended with them kissing each other.

"Vikings" showrunner Michael Hirst ships the Ragnar and Lagertha pairing. However, their awful past makes it almost impossible for them to get back together in "Vikings" Season 4. Besides, there's the matter of Ragnar's second wife, Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland).

There are speculations that Ragnar would lose another wife again if Lagertha decides to kill Aslaug. In the history books that "Vikings" was based on, Ragnar and Lagertha divorced each other but remained as allies. Lagertha, however, killed her new husband and ruled her own kingdom, which was similar to what she did to Kalf (Ben Robson) in the first half of "Vikings" Season 4.

It's possible that Lagertha killed her husband because she and Ragnar got back together. This storyline could happen on "Vikings," too. It remains to be seen whether Season 4 would feature a romantic reunion between Ragnar and Lagertha.

In episode two of "Vikings" Season 4 titled "The Vision," the locals in Kattegat taunts Ragnar that the gods have left him as he meets problems in his Wessex voyage, SpoilerTV reported. The locals now favor Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), who has a beautiful new boat built by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard).

Ragnar is forced to accept old boats and bribe crews for his voyage. Aslaug, meanwhile, foresees that Ragnar's fleet "will be lost in a vicious storm." However, Ragnar and his son, Ivan (Alex Andersen), won't listen to her warning.

Episode 12 of "Vikings" Season 4 airs on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 9 PM ET on History. Should Ragnar and Lagertha get back together? Share your thoughts below!
