Sara Rue of 'Malibu Country' not in a Hurry to Regain Pre-Pregnancy Body

New mom Sara Rue is not in a hurry to shed her baby weight. On the other hand, she is planning to become a model mom by dedicating more time to her little daughter.

The 34-year-old "Less Than Perfect" actress welcomed her daughter Talulah Rue Price last month. During a chat with Us Weekly, the television actress revealed her plans to devote more time to her newborn than to workouts.

"I feel ashamed of Hollywood for that pressure they put on women. It's awful," the "Malibu Country" star told Us Weekly before giving birth to her daughter.

"I fight the conflict that I have in my own brain over that every day about baby weight and it's the last thing you should be thinking about. Some women give birth and then two weeks later look amazing. I don't think I'm going to be one of those women, and I'm okay with that," Rue added. "I just want to be a good mom, I don't really care about having a hot bod."

Rue started her television career with NBC's "Grand" in 1990 and shot to fame with her roles in "Popular" and "Less Than Perfect". Rue's first marriage was with director-producer Mischa Livingstone in 2001. However, the marriage didn't last long and the couple became legally separated in 2007. In 2011, she tied the knot with Kevin Price, a teacher. In September 2012, Rue announced her pregnancy via Twitter.

"So earlier I said I had a little announcement .. Over the moon to announce my pregnancy! My bump will be doing its first red carpet tonight!" Rue wrote Sep.12, 2012 and later thanked her well-wishers: "Thanks so much for all the twitter love about my little bump! In the second tri, over the morning sickness phase, due early next year! yay!!"

In early December 2012, Rue celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower organized by her loved ones.

"I have the best work family!! @reba @LilyTomlin @julietteangelo just threw me an amazing shower! Baby and I are so lucky and SO loved," she wrote Dec. 8.

Even though the new mom already possesses a jogging stroller as a baby shower gift, she wants to wait a little longer, rather than using it immediately.

"Reba threw me a baby shower at work, it was really fun, and she got me a jogging stroller, which I'm very excited to try out," Rue told Us Weekly earlier.
