PTSD Is Not Limited To Military Personnels Anymore

In PTSD, one lives with the memories of the scariest and horrifying experiences they have ever faced, the brain of that human being replays the experience anytime. PTSD patients suffer a lot throughout their life given their past traumatic experiences.

The majority of them are members of military or veterans. Some time back, the world icon and famous singer Lady Gaga tweeted about the diagnosis of PTSD. Mr. Morgan Pier said that the celebrity was doing this just to get attention as it only occurs in people who are related to Military, but this is just a myth as it does not always occur in members of the military.

National Institution of Men health did research on the topic and discovered that it is a disorder that occurs in people who have witnessed any horrifying or threatening experience. It can occur in people of any age group and particularly appears in women than in men, according to NIMH.

Majority members of military experience PTSD because of the scenes they witness in the battlefield, this includes child abuse, sexual assault or any other disgusting deed. NIMH suggests that people who witness scary events, PTSD doesn't just occur in them, it can occur in people who have to witness sudden death of loved ones.

Morgan views that people use this sensitive issue to seek attention. Statements like these prevent people from getting treatment. These myths show that people need better education of mental diseases.
When celebrities publicize their mental conditions, it helps remove pressure and stress from the brain.

Gaga and Morgan arranged a meeting to discuss all the effects of PTSD, according to The Huffington Post.
Morgan had no comment on the discussion over the internet. He, however, will have to expand his discussion of the topic. Famous figures have joined hands to support people suffering from the
diseases.
