An Interview With Gary Younge

Gary Younge, the author of 'Another Day in the Death of America', chose the twenty-third day of the eleventh month for the day of setting his book.

But this day was surely another day for America. An unexceptional Saturday as he writes, ten kids were killed. Most of which were black. The ages of which were between nine to eighteen. On that day, not
all the kids or teens were killed by gunshots, according to The Spectator.

There is no measure of America's total gun death rate. And overall, after road accidents, on is the shot of a gun responsible for killing of children. What the Younge's thoughts according to The Intercept, about this were that this topic is left undiscussed, so the business of the country won't be disturbed.

The book is a painting of the children's death and them being neglected. It also tells about their lives and settings of theirs. The story encircles topics like, ethnic isolations, failing of institutes, destitutions, and communal precariousness.

Younge takes his readers on a voyage. He meets with the teachers, friends, and families of the dead. Sometimes, he keeps on knocking on the door, but no one comes out to answer his questions or to tell him about the victim, this black journalist, then is left with being involved in researches on social media sites, where he hopes for getting all the information he requires.

A year after the killing and shooting at Sandy Hook a guy holding a gun killed 26 people, six of which were grownups, and the other were small kids. The book is not just an ordinary one; it has many narratives and painful stories.

It is a collection of memories. It portraits a state full of racist people and poverty. A country where injustice is common, and where there's failure of media. Younge has a written a book which revolves around the negative side of the U.S, which many of the people living in the US ignore and overlook.

It is helping and explaining the ruptured parts of the country. This book was composed before the presidential polling. On the day, more than usual black kids had been killed. Americans want to overlook these incidents as the country is divided regarding race.

Younge hasn't got much hope factor when it comes to the politics of America. He made it clear in his interview. He told that when he gave the book to be published, some publishers weren't simply ready to publish it and kept passing it on.

When asked what should be done being played a role as a journalist, Younge replied that on top of everything they should be investigating and announcing. They should be raising awareness of this side of the country which is being neglected and the precious lives being lost.

And his book is based on this too. He thinks it is easier to write than to report regarding guns. Younge says that he has he is hopeless that Trump will make these areas better. He says that he has been in contact with different people who do not care about others but only the survival of their kids. And they vote on this basis too.
