Children's Team May Fold Over Inappropriate Sponsors

The Birmingham-based Kings Health team wears a sports kit that is subsidized by sponsors including a night club and a tattoo parlor. There has been a lot of criticism regarding the sponsorship of this team. The issue has come into the spotlight right now and efforts are being made to find other sponsors for the team.

It was said that the sponsors only provided age-limited services, so providing kids with the kits were against the law. On the other hand, the club has denied paying for the kits of each child simply because the club does not have this much funding.

According to The BBC News, the manager said that he has been trying all he could. He has sent around fifty letters and messages to the firms run locally that are sponsor firms. The team was not allowed to play the game wearing the kits. It was banned by the FA and they were restricted to wear the uniform.

A letter composed by the FA had clearly mentioned that wearing the kits that were promoted by a nightclub and a tattoo parlor violated the rules. According to SAT Press Releases, the club was running on an extremely low budget.

There wasn't even enough budget to support the team and to provide them with proper kits for them to wear. The thirty kids who were a part of the team and trained with the team would be sad and utterly disappointed at this news. Their attitude towards the game might change.

The teams were not allowed to play until the kit was modified or replaced. The manager of the team was very hopeful and had a positive attitude regarding this. He believed that some other companies and firms might come forward and provide them with the sponsorship for the team and the sports kit to encourage the young players and so that they would be able to play again.
