'The Bounce Back' Movie Is A Predictable Romantic Comedy Flick

It is interesting to find out that just when one thinks he is the best in his field, someone comes along to challenge his knowledge and theories. To make matters complicated, this person who happens to challenge one's knowledge becomes an eventual love interest. This is basically how the movie "The Bounce Back" goes.

Life, specifically relationships is very unpredictable. No one can be too sure that the love of one's life will be someone to make one question beliefs in what seemed to be a perfected craft. The movie "The Bounce Back" presents a good twist to this an already complicated set up.

According to Movie Insider, Matthew Taylor is on a whirlwind book tour promoting his best seller, "The Bounce Back." He thinks he already had it all figured out, giving out specific information and pieces of advice all found in his book.

The movie then continues on when he meets Kristin Peralta who is a talk show therapist who is convinced that he is nothing but a fraud. Matthew's life turned upside down when he falls in love with Kristin. In the process, he also has to face painful truth of his past relationship.

The movie "The Bounce Back" stars Shemar Moore as Matthew Taylor and Nadine Velazquez as Kristin Peralta. They are both joined by Bill Bellamy, Sheryl Underwood, Kali Hawk, Robinne Lee and many more.

The movie has mixed reviews after its release on Dec. 9, 2016. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie "The Bounce Back" only got a score of 60 percent with an average rating of 5.8 out of a possible 10 points.

One critic gave it a rather neutral feedback after watching the movie. It can either be taken as positive or negative depending on how one understands her premise. Betsy Bozdech of Common Sense Media said that the movie is a predictable rom-com which will appeal to most adults.

Marjorie Baumgarten of Austin Chronicle said that the movie "The Bounce Back" may not scream true love, but it is companionable enough until something better comes along. It sure seems that the reviews for the movie lie on borderline. It is somewhere in the middle, a cross between good and bad.
