Selma Blair Seeks Comfort In Only Son After A Series Of Unfortunate Events

It looks like Selma Blair is currently doing OK after experiencing a series of unfortunate events in early February. The actress was spotted with her 5-year-old son, Arthur, as they spent a rainy day doing errands last Monday in Los Angeles.

Despite the damp weather, Blair was seen smiling and watching over her son as he played in the grass during their walk, per Daily Mail. The actress appeared to be relaxed and content, drawing comfort from being with her child, when this wasn't her disposition a few weeks back.

Earlier in the month, Blair broke down after a flub at a gas station. She forgot to take out the gas pump's nozzle from her car before driving off, thus causing damage and getting chastised for her mistake.

"I paid for the broken pump so that was over a 500 dollar tank of gas," the actress shared, People reported. She admitted to feeling "awful for being absent-minded" and felt even worse after crying over what happened in front of a barista. "Can I have someone say this will pass?" the actress asked as she posted her bad day on Instagram.

This was not the first public outburst from the 44-year-old mom. On one trip to Mexico, the "Cruel Intentions" star was asked to embark from the plane when she demonstrated unruly behavior towards the crew. Ground staff at the airport brought her to a hospital as she was reportedly dazed and drunk.

Blair later apologized for the incident. "I take this very seriously, and I apologize to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath," she said in a statement, per Vanity Fair. "I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry."

Meanwhile, the single mother admitted that it's getting challenging disciplining her growing son. Because she's mostly amused by his antics, she sometimes has to remember it's important to set some boundaries for the boy's sake. Her mantra towards parenting is: "We're not buddies. I'm your mom, and I'm here to teach you," Blair shared in another People report.
