‘Pokémon GO’ Tips & Tricks For Eevee: How To Evolve Into Espeon At Daytime & Umbreon At Night

The cute Eevee has three evolution types in "Pokémon GO" that transforms the little creature into its more powerful elemental versions or Eeveelutions. Those are Electric, Fire, and Water or Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, respectively. Once you choose an Eeveelution, you cannot evolve it into another type, so make sure to think your decision through.

Eevee, however, has more evolutions. It was reported that "Pokémon GO" Generation 2 will have five other Eeveelutions aside from the three already mentioned above. The other Eeveelutions are Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon, FanSided listed.

Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokémon while Umbreon is a Dark-type, with both evolutions hugely time-dependent. Eevee evolves into Espeon when it's around a Sun Shard and when there are high levels of friendship and happiness during daytime or in the morning.

An Umbreon evolution occurs when it's around a Moon Shard and when it develops friendship and trust with its trainer at nighttime, Gamenguide reported. For those of you planning an Espeon or Umbreon evolution when "Pokémon GO" Gen 2 rolls out, you should focus on establishing friendship and trust with your Eevee during these time periods to get the evolutions.

Espeon and Umbreon are great additions to a Pokédex. Espeon is extremely loyal to a trainer it considers worthy. The creature also has precognitive powers that allow it to predict its enemy's next moves and the weather. Espeon does this through the highly sensitive fine hair that covers its body.

Umbreon, also called as Moonlight Pokémon, mostly lurks silently in the darkness as it waits for its opponent to move. One of Umbreon's defense is spraying poisonous sweat from its pores. When the creature leaps into attack, the rings on its black body glow, Bulbapedia wrote.

Evolving your Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon is definitely exciting, but in the meantime, trainers would have to wait until early 2017 to get "Pokémon GO" Gen 2. For those of you who want a Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon Eeveelution now, 25 Candy is needed to do so.

A "Pokémon GO" trick allows you to determine which evolution your Eevee would head to. According to IGN, an Eeveelution can be controlled by naming it Pyro (Flareon), Rainer (Vaporeon), or Sparky (Jolteon). You should, however, use a capital first letter and lower case names to achieve this. For example, type "Rainer" instead of "rainer."
