‘Pokémon GO’ Tips & Tricks: Ditto Found! How To Get The Pokémon Via A Lucky Egg

Ditto is one of those creatures in "Pokémon GO" that is desired by many but is nearly impossible to catch. A player, however, claimed that he captured Ditto and showcased his feat via a video recording.

The first ever Ditto in "Pokémon GO" was acquired by a player named Cash, Otakukart reported. He was walking around with his girlfriend and was attempting to hatch a Lucky Egg. Afterwards, an invisible Pokémon hatched from the Egg and was added to Cash's Pokédex.

It was after adding the Pokémon to his Pokédex that he realized it was the supposedly un-capturable Ditto. Watch the YouTube video of Cash getting Ditto below.

"Pokémon GO" player Cash even took his captured Ditto to battle but was disappointed when the Pokémon became invisible in the Gym. This confirmed the player's suspicion that Ditto is yet to be allowed to appear in such locations.

Ditto, a Normal-Type Pokémon with no evolution, is known for its ability to transform into any form it desires. It has an attack level of 110, defense of 110, stamina of 96, and a maximum Combat Power (CP) of 919, Pokémon GO Database listed.

According to IGN, Ditto can be caught in the wild because data mining of "Pokémon GO" unveiled the Pokémon's catch rate. There are speculations that ordinary Pokémon currently out in the wild could be Ditto in disguise, and its real identity would be revealed by an event later on in the game, Parent Herald previously reported.

Ditto shares the same base capture and flee rate with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pikachu, and Squirtle, so it's possible that Ditto is in disguise as one of these creatures. Ditto disguised as Bulbasaur in "Pokémon Snap" and appeared as Pikachu in the anime, IGN noted.

There are also speculations that Ditto will be caught exclusively in South America. The Pokémon is said to be the unsuccessful clone of Legendary Pokémon Mew, which has the same weight as Ditto and is the only other creature with the transformation ability. In the anime, Mew was found in the jungles of South America. Ditto's trainer is also named Duplica, which is Spanish, South America's second most spoken language.

One more Ditto theory in "Pokémon GO" is the Pokémon could be hiding in the game's background during the capture sequence with a different creature.
