Michael Bublé, Luisana Lopilato Says ‘Family First’ After Three-Year-Old Son Is Diagnosed With Cancer

Multi-awarded singer Michael Bublé is temporarily walking away from the limelight. He and his wife Luisana Lopilato has announced that their oldest son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer and will be needing treatment over the next few months.

The Canadian crooner first broke the news on his personal Facebook page. He did not go into detail about what type of cancer his 3-year-old had, or what stage it was. Bublé was clearly distraught with the news and stressed that he and his wife will be giving up work and other commitments to attend to their son's needs.

Luisana is an Argentinian actress and commercial model. Bublé, on the other hand, has been making TV and radio appearances to promote his latest album "Nobody But Me". The couple also has another son, Elias, who is 9 months old.

Noah has reportedly been undergoing treatment in the US when he was diagnosed with cancer. Billboard.com quoted the statement: "We are devastated by the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well."

The 41-year-old singer also asked friends and fans for prayers and understanding. He asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

"We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing," Bublé's statement further read.

According to BBC.com the hit maker is scheduled to make a slew of guestings and appearances which include the BBC Music Awards on December 12th ," Bublé is also slated to be one of the hosts at the Brit Awards in London scheduled for February 22nd . This was supposed to be followed by the Canadian Juno Awards which will take place in Ottawa on April 2nd  next year.  

Interviews with Bublé's spokesman did not confirm if these engagements will also be called off. He was quoted as saying that he doesn't know "anything more at this stage".
