‘Pokémon GO’ Update & Guide: Daily Bonuses Added! Stardust, XP & More Items Rewarded; Which Regions Are Getting The Tracker?

Niantic has released a new "Pokémon GO" update for iOS and Android. The new "Pokémon GO" version for 1.15.0 in iOS and 0.45.0 in Android introduces daily bonuses that will give rewards to players who don't just check in with the game every day, but also performs certain tasks.

Niantic's latest "Pokémon GO" update rewards 500 XP and 600 Stardust to players who catch a Pokémon every day and 2,000 XP and 2,400 Stardust for those who capture a Pokémon for seven consecutive days. For "Pokémon GO" players who visit a PokéStop and spin the Photo Disc each day, 500 XP is rewarded along with additional items. Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc for seven days in a row will generate 2,000 XP and additional items, Heavy listed.

"Pokémon GO" players who defeat the Gym leader at a rival Gym will have a short amount of time where only them "will be able to place a Pokémon in the open Gym," Niantic added. Aside from these, the "amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered" and the "amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased." The new "Pokémon GO" update also came with minor text fixes.

Finding nearby Pokémon via an official tracker from Niantic is also possible again, though the tool isn't offered to everyone outside of San Francisco Bay Area in California. According to TechCrunch, "Pokémon GO" players in some areas in Arizona (possibly in major cities) also have the Pokémon tracker and in Seattle in Washington.

"Pokémon GO" had a tracking system when it initially launched in July but it was disabled by Niantic when it crashed due to the overwhelming amount of players. Since then, various unofficial trackers have popped up but disappeared when the developer locked their API.

Of course, this has been a major source of frustration for "Pokémon GO" players. After all, no one wants to wander aimlessly and look for pocket monsters outside.

There are strong speculations that Niantic is preparing a "Pokémon GO" Thanksgiving event, Parent Herald previously reported. Like the Halloween event, this one would likely introduce more Candies from Buddy Pokémon and an abundance of spawns. This time, it is speculated that there would be more Spearow, Fearow, Psyduck, Golduck, SlowPoké, Slowbro, Ponyta, and Rapidash spawns in the wild.
