‘Pokémon GO’ Update: HUGE CP Calculation Change Introduces New Top 10 Strongest Monsters! Ditto Now Available

Niantic's recent CP calculation changes come with modifications in the way Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" are ranked. Some of the strongest monsters in the game have changed based on their new CP. Read on below for more information about the changes.

Niantic previously said that the CP or Combat Points of Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar will increase due to the recent changes and other monsters will have theirs pulled down, Pokémon GO Informer reported. It turns out that all Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" had their CP changed except for the Ice/Water-type monster, Lapras.

According to The Silph Road thread on Reddit, Dragonite is the strongest Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" (clocking in at 3581 CP) after the recent calculation change. Snorlax comes in at second place with 3355 CP.

Rhydon is at third with 3300 CP, Gyarados follows close with 3281 CP, and Vaporeon at 3157 CP. Lapras is at the sixth spot with 2980 CP, Exeggutor with 2916 CP, Golem with 2916 CP, Flareon with 2904 CP, and Machamp at the 10th spot with 2889 CP.

One of the most notable additions to the new top 10 strongest Pokémon list is the Ground/Rock-type Rhydon. Dragonite and Vaporeon also received remarkable boosts. With 2887 CP, the Psychic-type Alakazam got stronger as well after the CP calculation change in "Pokémon GO." Alakazam was kind of weak before but it now placed at the 11th spot in the strongest Pokémon list based on CP.

In other news, Ditto was recently added to "Pokémon GO" after many weeks of speculation, Polygon reported. The Pokémon is capable of assuming the form and abilities of other Pokémon that it is fighting in battles.

"Pokémon GO" players have acquired Ditto in the wild after catching typical, low-level Pokémon such as Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat, which all transform into Ditto right after capture. Ditto appears to have high CP, according to players' posts, and the Pokémon can be caught in every region. Users from Australia, Sweden, and the United States have all shared snapshots of the Dittos they have acquired.
