'Pokémon GO' Gen 2 Update: Title Might Roll Out January 2017; What We Know So Far!

Niantic has not released a full announcement on the expected release of a new set of creatures on the "Pokémon Go" app. Thanks to its avid players for cracking the mystery and sharing it with everyone. The Gen 2 update is reportedly coming soon and is expected to release 100 new Pokémons.

Some of the tech savvy players have figured out the forthcoming update of the "Pokémon Go" app just by looking at the codes of the game. This revelation surely brought excitement to the Pokémon trainers but the question of when this update will take effect still remains unanswered.

Reports have it that the "Pokémon Go" update will be rolled out in January next year. Although some of the speculations suggest that the update will happen in December, if you really think about it, it is unlikely to happen.

You see, this is a Niantic strategy. If you observe how they do their updates you can see the pattern.

The app developer Niantic managed to prove that their developers conduct and release regular updates to the app. However, they also showed that important "Pokémon Go" features are sandwiched in main patches or major updates.

Before the much-awaited update will happen, the "Pokémon Go" game developer Niantic still has to release the remaining legendary creatures in Generation 1 namely Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. In our previous report, we talked about how Niantic may release the legendary Mewtwo and ended up suggesting that a big capture might take place.

Also, just recently we also reported the confirmed release of Ditto, the giant pink blob, on the app. Just in case you missed it, finding this rare Pokémon gets tricky if you do not pay attention. The rare Pokémon Ditto has been transforming himself into common Pokémons such as Rattata and Pidgey.

Pokémon fans are expecting the new rollout to be this December but with all these in mind, Niantic may not do the Gen 2 rollout so soon but only after they complete the Gen 1 creatures. The next 100 Pokémons are confirmed to be in the "Pokémon Go" codes. It's now just a matter of waiting.
