Hollywood superstar and mom Sandra Bullock is experiencing what many mothers go through when their children hit a milestone. Her five-year-old boy, Louis, has finally entered kindergarten and the 51-year-old mom confessed she's been crying all week about it.
"I didn't let him see it. I did the drop off, I was strong, and then I turned with all the other parents and like...Of course, whatever song was on the radio was extra poignant. I was a mess, but I'm always a mess," the Academy-award winning actress told ET Canada while in attendance at the Toronto Film Festival.
The actress was in town to promote her latest movie, "Our Brand Is Crisis," which also stars Billy Bob Thorton. According to People Magazine, it's the first feature film Sandra has done, apart from voicing the animated flick, "Minions," in nearly two years.
"I wasn't looking for this," the actress told the news outlet. "I was having fun just being a mom." Sandra also said that choosing to work on the movie had to be a decision that included Louis. "It had to be something extraordinary that would be a life experience for myself and my boy because he comes with me," she told People.
"When he's off to college, we'll divert my attention to something else, but right now it's all about Lou," the "Gravity" actress said, according to The Guardian.
Meanwhile, the actress also reflected on how her life has been for the past few years, saying, "My level of happiness has been amazing last couple of years. I've got the most beautiful boy in the world," she told ET.
"I'm very lucky to be here, very blessed. What I want for the future [is] more of the same but if it doesn't happen there will be a good reason for it," she added, according to US Weekly.
It has also been reported previously by Parent Herald that Sandra is dating a new man, the Los Angeles photographer Bryan Randall. The actress hasn't been linked with anyone since her divorce from ex-husband Jesse James in 2010. But while there have been no confirmations from the actress or her reps, she allegedly already introduced Bryan to her friends during a July 4 party in Texas.
"They've been trying to take things slowly, and at first Sandra was reluctant to refer to him as her boyfriend, but it's become clear that they're absolutely besotted with each other,'' a source told the British magazine Grazia, according to TV3.
