Sirine Jahangir might not have seen it coming, but her performance at the British Got Talent stage made people see how music became her strongest ally.

During the audition rounds, Sirene played the piano while singing. While performing, her relatives, specifically, her younger brother is very emotional, seeing Sirine perform in the British Got Talent stage.

After her soulful performance, the audience and the judges gave her a standing ovation.

All four judges gave Sirine their "Yes!" saying that it was moving and inspiring to see her on stage.

Alesha Dixon, a British singer, said that although she sensed that Sirine was nervous, she still thinks Sirine sang beautifully.

When asked by Simon Cowell why she seemed to be nervous, Sirine shared that it was the first time she had such an opportunity.

Sirine's Impaired Vision

Sirine was not visually impaired when she was younger. It was only during her fifth year when her parents noticed her serious eye problem. She went through a series of tests and procedures, but years after, she still completely lost her vision.

In an interview with the BBC, Sirine shared that she knew that she would eventually lose her vision when she was nine years old. This fact made her feel distressed and annoyed. However, she did not want to dwell on her blindness.

Sirine Thinks "Music Is Her Vision"

She might have lost her vision, but Sirine thinks that music completes her. In the same interview with BBC, Sirene said, "Just because I am blind doesn't mean I can't succeed."

The 15-year-old teen singer says that music does not give her any limitations; that is why she loves music.

Sirine started to divulge herself into music when she was nine years old. She started playing the piano when she was thirteen, and since then, she has not stopped using music to express herself.

Music has been Sirine's way of sharing her thoughts with the world. Something that she had difficulty doing during the beginning of her journey becoming blind.

Sirine did not expect the support of the public.

Sirine's goal when she first heard that she would perform on TV was to gather her family to watch the episode. That is why when she learned that she was a crowd favorite, she felt the idea was crazy.

Right after her performance was aired, people on Twitter were already rooting for her to be the winner of the British Got Talent. Some described her performance as a beautiful and inspirational one. Another Twitter user said that Sirine's performance is a showcase of real talent.

Because of the pandemic, live performances of the competition will happen later this year. Something that Sirine's supporters are already looking forward to watching.
