During the holiday break, parents may be looking for other ways to keep the family entertained, and for those with younger children, the safest and easiest way to enjoy this time is to visit play places for toddlers.

Play places or indoor playgrounds across the U.S. are very convenient, safe, and familiar. They are also next to a fast-food place, which makes the visits all the more enjoyable for the whole family.

Here are some of the most fun play places for toddlers:

1. BounceU

BounceU has over a hundred outlets in the U.S., and it provides many options for play for every child's age, including the toddlers who will need some supervision and guidance from their parents. The indoor playground is filled with inflatable bounce houses, slides, and other exciting games that challenge the children's physicality and strengthen their motor development.

The facility has a special area for kids between one to four years old, offering endless fun and interaction. On most days, however, some facilities may be closed to private parties, so be sure to call your local BounceU outlet before visiting so there will be no disappointed children in the family.

2. Skyzone

Like BounceU, Skyzone is a specialized indoor playground for kids of all ages. However, instead of offering inflatables, the play place is actually a trampoline park. There are more than 200 sites for Skyzone, including outside the U.S., and each outlet has its own Toddler Zone. The trampolines designed for the little kids are carefully picked out to help with their physical abilities.

If there are sections for toddlers, Skyzone also has a play area for adults or parents. According to the company, the power of play never ceases, no matter the person's age. Having fun on the trampoline is great for the body and mind since active play releases endorphins.

3. YMCA

The popular YMCA facilities, which have been in the U.S. for more than four decades, have gotten on with the times by also offering playtime for toddlers. Primarily for the convenience of parents who have to work, the toddler sessions are a lot like child care and out-of-school assistance. Some YMCAs have partnerships with children's schools as well.

Here, young kids may also develop the academic abilities to help them thrive in a bigger school. This service, however, needs parents to sign up for a membership, and the requirements may vary, depending on the facility.

4. McDonald's

McDonald's Play Place has been around since the '80s, which means that many parents today have played in these facilities as toddlers as well. Though McDonald's indoor playgrounds are smaller than the other facilities, they're entertaining enough for young children to be occupied and busy exploring and learning.

All kids share a common area at a McDonald's indoor playground, but preschoolers also have a small section to explore or climb. Not all outlets have this children's feature though, so it's best to call ahead and inquire before visiting your local McDonald's.
