Miracle Baby Judah Grace Spear Born on 2/22/22 at 2:22 A.M. in Room No. 2 to Mom Who Beat Cancer

A hospital in North Carolina has welcomed a miracle baby, Judah Grace Spear, on a very special date as she was born on Tuesday, February 2, 2022, or 2/22/22, at exactly 2:22 a.m. in room No. 2 of the labor and delivery ward.

Alamance Regional Medical Center announced the baby's birth on their social media, adding that the mom, Aberli Spear, survived Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer attacking the immune system.

Before having Judah Grace, Aberli and her husband, Hank Spear, struggled to get pregnant as her cancer treatment reduced her chances of conception. Thus, the birth of the miracle baby was an answered prayer for the family.

Judah Grace is God's Promise

Kristi Engelbrecht, Judah Grace's grandmother, told WFMY that it took Aberli six years to beat cancer. But the miracle baby's arrival into the family is a stark reminder of all good things and the promises of God.

Aberli, a first-time mom, was in the labor room for 26 hours. The nurses excitedly screamed when she gave birth because it was on the mark. The new mom said that Judah Grace's birthdate is not the only thing that's special about her. They named her Judah, which means "praise," to honor God's perfect timing.

The new parents met in 2014, and three months after they dated, Aberli learned of her cancer. Her doctors told her that she might not have kids, but Hank accepted their fate as a couple.

Amid her illness, Aberli and Hank continued to pray for a miracle and thought about freezing her eggs just in case. She and Hank went as far as to consult with a fertility clinic, but they decided against it in the end because the procedure was expensive.

After she survived cancer, Aberli conceived and had a healthy pregnancy. Thus, Judah Grace's remarkable birthday, 2/2/22 at 2:22 a.m. in room No. 2, will always remind the new parents that hope remains despite the odds.

Her actual due date was February 22, but no one could have predicted the time of birth. Hank thought his wife would give birth around midnight. 

Significance of 2/22/22

The date 2/22/22 comes but once in a lifetime. The special date last occurred in 1622 and it won't happen again until 2422.

However, Morten Heedegaard from Denmark said that the date does not seem to carry any bigger meaning even though he has managed a very simple website counting down to 2/2/22 at 22:22 since 2016.
