Pink's 10-year-old daughter, Willow, recently asked her mom for a phone, telling her that most of the kids in her class have one. However, Pink did not budge and opened up that she thinks her daughter is not ready for a phone yet.

According to People, Pink said adults have a light side and a dark side to technology. But for kids, Pink said, "I'm not there yet."

And, it's just not Pink, but other celebrities are also sharing about what they have to say on their kid's screen time.

Pink: Not ready to give her kids a phone yet

Pink said Willow's request for a phone did not move her. She did not care if most of the kids in her class had a phone already. However, the singer said she is not against children using technology like many parents. She said the parents could not be "dinosaurs" but should also embrace technology and go with it.

Chrissy Teigen: Suggesting other alternative activities

The author of the cookbook "Cravings" said that her daughter often "begged" for her smartphone when she wanted to play a specific app at three years old. The mom would then suggest other activities like an art project, a book, or stickers to play with instead. She said that her daughter would then forget why they wanted her phone in the first place.

However, she also admitted that there are situations where she can be lax with her kid's on-screen time, such as being in a restaurant or a plane.

Bill Gates: No cellphones until kids turned 14

The Microsoft founder and ex-wife Melinda Gates admitted that they did not allow their three kids to have a cellphone until they turned 14.

Gates said they would often set a time for screen time. Limiting their screen time helps their kids sleep at a reasonable hour, Gates said in an interview in 2017.

The Microsoft founder said he would ban phones at the dinner table. However, the couple did not go as far as tracking their kid's Facebook passwords. When his daughter began spending more time on video games, the couple implemented stricter screen time limits.

Mark Zuckerberg: No screen time for "a long time"

The Facebook founder and his wife said that they did not allow their daughters to sit in front of screens "for a long time." However, the couple let their kids use Facebook's video chat to communicate with their grandparents and aunts who are living across the country.

David Beckham: No more than an hour of screen time

In a Kid's Choice Sports Awards in 2014, soccer star David Beckham said that they only allow their kids a screen time of "no more than an hour." He said that although the limits may sound harsh, the soccer player wants the kids to play outside. Beckham also said that the kids must be involved in sports for discipline and health.
