Tom Hanks' Son Drug Addiction: Chet Hanks Back In Rehab, See Video Apology [Watch]

The son of Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks has issued an apology over his recent transgressions. Chet Hanks, 25, admitted in a series of videos posted on his social media account that he has some serious drug problems.

"I know, like, my name's been in the media about me like going missing or getting kidnapped or something. I just want to let you all know, I've been in rehab ... and I'm doing pretty damn good," said Chet in one of the video apologies he posted on his Instagram Wednesday.

The aspiring rapper also revealed that he was "selling coke, doing coke until I couldn't even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged," according to the Los Angeles Times, but he is aware there is a solution.

"It's been a long journey for me discovering who I am because of all the pressures that I've dealt with in my life, you know, being the son of my dad and everything, and just trying to find where I fit in," the younger Hanks further said.

But this is not the first time the celebrity son sought help, as last November 2014, Chet was also in a facility for cocaine addiction, according to InTouch Weekly.

Yet just last June, the rapper was a wanted man in London, after it was learned that he thrashed the hotel room he was staying in, according to Daily Mail. Guests complained that Chet, who also goes by the rapper name Haze and was in town for a show at a club, was being "loud and obnoxious." He took girls in his hotel room, but when they refused sex, he allegedly started screaming. In the morning, the hotel staff found his room vandalized, so a police was called in.

"A guest has caused an estimated £1,200 of damage to a hotel room," the police said, according to the Daily Mail report.

Prior to the London incident, Chet also received backlash from his followers on Instagram because he allegedly used the N-word. But Chet defended that it was "free speech." "I do have black friends that use it with me and I use it with them," Chet said, according to The Wrap.

Chet Hanks is one of Tom Hanks' four children. He's half-brothers with actor Colin Hanks and writer Elizabeth Ann, who are from the Tom's former marriage to Samantha Lewes. Chet is Tom's son with Rita Wilson, along with the youngest, Truman.
