Woman Brings Baby to the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard Trial; Claims Depp is The Father

An unnamed woman briefly caused a commotion during the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial after holding a baby and calling the actor's attention by saying he was the father.

Reports from Law & Crime Network cited that the woman also shouted, "I love you!" to Depp before she was escorted out of the courtroom. Judge Penney Azcarat did not see the commotion because the session was on a short break.

The cameras were also switched off during the break, so there were no live feeds of the woman's outburst. However, the report cited that her antics would not be tolerated in the courtroom; thus, she was asked to leave.

On the other hand, Depp waved at the woman when she called out to the actor. She was later seen outside the courtroom laughing and chatting with some press people.

Woman Explains It's a Joke

According to NDTV, the woman admitted joking about the baby's father. She said it was a silly idea she and her husband cooked up because they thought it would be funny.

Since the trial, fans of the actor have been milling about in the Virginia courthouse to show their support. The Depp-Heard high-profile defamation case is currently on its 21st day and has been generating significant publicity as the court allowed the sessions to be live-streamed.

Depp sued his ex-wife for ruining his reputation and career when she wrote and published an op-ed piece in "The Washington Post," claiming she was a domestic abuse victim. The actor has denied the allegations and stated he was the victim of Heard's physical and emotional abuse.

Heard has also filed a countersuit that Depp's team of lawyers has tried to get thrown out. However, the judge denied this petition, saying that this was up to the jury to decide if the actress' countersuit also merits a trial.

Amber Heard's Daughter Turns One

Meanwhile, amid the trial in April, Oonah Paige, Heard's daughter via surrogacy, celebrated her first birthday. According to Page Six, the actress remains mum about the baby's paternity, but she has regularly shared photos of her child on her social media account.

Heard claims that she is both the mom and dad of her child after she consciously decided she would have a baby on her own. The process started sometime in 2017 when she had an on-and-off relationship with billionaire Elon Musk. There have been talks that Musk might be Oonah's biological father or sperm donor, but even the tech boss won't comment on Heard's current life as a single parent.

Oonah was named after Heard's mom, who died a year before she could meet her granddaughter. Reports stated that Heard was close to her mom. The actress described her mother as "the most beautiful woman" she has known all her life.
