Shamekia Morris, a tattoo-loving mother, is being slammed online for putting tattoos all over her one-year-old baby. Critics accused her of raising him to be a "gangster" and a "thug." However, the tattoos were fake.

The tattoos on her and her son became well known on social media, with her Tiktok followers reaching 1.5 million, Daily Mail says.

Bullied for wearing a tattoo

Morris, a fashion designer from West Palm Beach, first got her first wave of backlash when she was eight months pregnant with her son, Trevlin. She did a maternity shoot in a tattoo parlor, showing off her ink designs. All the comments were negative, and she found it funny that people were saying that her baby would be born with a whole bunch of tattoos or that he would have skin poison.

When her baby was six months old, she started putting a fake tattoo on her little boy, to the horror of her followers. She got another wave of backlash, saying she was raising her son as a gangster or a thug. She admitted that people online are not used to seeing a tattoo on people, much less on kids.

People told her that her son would "get shot down in the street" or that she was raising her baby for prison. She said the backlash was horrible, and it hurt her because she knew she was not a bad mom.

A backlash that became sensational

As per News24, Morris vowed she would not let her online haters stop her. She said that having an elaborate tattoo is a lifestyle that she enjoys.

Even her family has a hard time accepting her passion. But as time passed and she continued tattooing her son, many people were taken by Trevlin's appearance.

Eventually, they became well-known on social media. Her Instagram page, NuggerWorld561, which regularly features her and her son covered with tattoos from head to toes, became an internet sensation.

She then decided to mark each milestone with different themes on the Instagram page, which has a growing 40,000 followers.

She admitted that the bullying had gotten ten times worst, adding that she has been called a bad mom several times, but she knows better. She cited that her son was born prematurely, and she even stayed with him for 16 days in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Despite the criticism, she vowed that she would not stop her passion because she could see that her little boy loved his tattoos. The mom shared that her son would dance whenever he had a tattoo.

She promised to continue adorning her little boy's body with fake tattoos despite the hate and ignore how anyone would view her parenting skills.

According to CBS News, the Food and Drug Administration warned that temporary tattoos might cause a long-lasting allergic reaction, especially in some kids. But apparently, little Trevlin is not affected by an allergic reaction to henna tattoos.
