After losing her legal fight against ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard said she will now focus on raising her daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard, as a full-time mother.

In her first TV interview after the conclusion of the defamation trial, Amber told Savannah Guthrie on "Today" on NBC that she would no longer have to "juggle calls with lawyers" and could now focus all of her attention on Oonagh, who had just turned a year old in April 2022.

Amber also told Guthrie that when the time comes, and she has to speak to Oonagh about the defamation trial, she will tell her daughter that she "did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth," per E! News.

The actress talked about her daughter while she took a stand in court. She told the judge and jury that she wanted to move on with her life because she had Oonagh to raise.

Amber Heard and "Aquaman" Sequel Rumors

In going full-time, however, the actress is not saying that she will be quitting her job in Hollywood. It comes amid reports that she was fired from the sequel of "Aquaman," where she plays the mermaid Mera and the love interest of Arthur Curry, a.k.a. Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa.

A spokesperson for the actress told Variety that the rumors about her getting cut from the superhero franchise are "inaccurate, insensitive and slightly insane." But the report also cited that Amber's star power has been affected by her ex-husband's lawsuit.

Amber said in the TV interview that she was not given fair representation in such a highly-publicized legal fight. She said that the hate and vitriol she got from the public was unfair.

Meanwhile, Amber has stated that she is both mom and dad to Oonagh as a single parent. She said in July 2021, shortly after the baby was born, that she had been considering kids four years before Oonagh's birth, whether or not she had someone to raise the child with her.

"I hope we arrive at a point in which it's normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib," Amber posted on her Instagram when she introduced her daughter to the world.

Oonah Paige's Father

For years, there were speculations that Tesla billionaire Elon Musk was Oonah Paige's biological father. At that time Amber was considering becoming a mom; she was dating Musk.

Jennifer Howell, a former friend of the Heard family, apparently wrote a testimony, which was said to have been part of the defamation case for Depp's legal team, of what Amber's mom told her. The actress was also in a legal fight with Musk a few years ago over their embryos. Howell allegedly had that testimony to prove that Amber was in a relationship with Musk while still married to her husband.

However, Oonah's paternity, Howell's testimony, and Amber's relationship with Musk weren't tackled during the trial. A spokesperson for Musk also said that the allegations about their affair were not true, according to Fox News.
