Oakley Carlson Missing Case Offering $75,000 Reward for Leads to Child Whom Siblings Say Was Eaten by Wolves

The reward for leads in the Oakley Carlson missing case has been raised to $75,000 as a community in Washington still needs answers for what happened to the 6-year-old girl, whose young siblings believed she was eaten by wolves.

The child was reported missing in December 2021, but many locals said they had not seen Oakely for some time, even before her perceived disappearance. Her birth parents, Andrew Carlson and Jordan Bowers, have not yet been charged, but they are currently in prison for a few months for crimes unrelated to this missing case.

According to The Sun, the community initially had a $10,000 reward for leads to the Oakley Carlson missing case. By May 2022, the reward was increased to $25,000. The current $75,000 reward will likely go up if the investigations drag on.

Her siblings were told to keep quiet

Jessica Swift, Oakville Elementary School principal, reported Oakley's disappearance to the police after she visited the home of Carlson and Bowers in November 2021. During that visit, Bowers informed Swift that they had a house fire, and the principal offered to bring some supplies for the repair work.

Swift told News Nation that she did not notice Oakley among the kids playing in the family yard, and when she asked the mom, Bowers said that the girl was inside her room as she was given a time out. The principal brought more supplies to the family a few days later, and she still didn't see Oakley.

Bowers' other children then spent a playdate with Swift's daughter, where she then proceeded to probe about their sister. One of the kids told the principal that Oakley had not been living in their house anymore. Swift immediately called the police, who then investigated the parents and interviewed the children.

Sheriff's deputy Kevin Schrader said that one of the kids told him that Oakley was eaten by the wolves outside. Their mother also told them to never speak of their sister anymore.

Parents did not care to report that Oakley was missing

Tracing back, the police said that Oakley was last seen in February 2021. Her parents never reported her missing.

Oakley used to live with foster parents Eric and Jamie Jo Hiles when she was about seven months to 3 years old. Jamie Jo told Fox News that she was bitter about the biological parents regaining custody of their child after they seemingly improved their lives following child endangerment charges. Carlson and Bowers exposed their children to methamphetamine, but the moment they got their act together, they regained custody.

But Jamie Jo said there had been red flags in the Carlson house before, which were ignored by the system. Before giving Oakley back to her parents, Jamie Jo tried to fight for her to remain under their custody. She even reached out to Gov. Jay Inslee.
