Mom Keeps Pregnancy a Secret, Surprises Extended Family With Baby During First Face-to-Face Visit

Victoria Cameron-Cheyne shocked her extended family when she came to their house for the baby's first face-to-face visit to his relatives. The Canadian mom has kept her pregnancy a secret all this time.

In a TikTok video, Cameron-Cheyne documented the surprising moment and caught the reaction of her mother and the rest of her family members. Their faces were clearly confused, and one relative managed to only utter, "You're kidding?" as she showed them her new son.

Cameron-Cheyne also shared a few more clips of her son's introduction to her siblings and in-laws, who mindlessly asked her where the baby came from before congratulating her. Her father also had a confused look on his face when he saw her walking toward him with her new son in her arms.

The mother who kept her pregnancy a secret sparked a debate among her followers as they could not understand how she didn't want to share the exciting news. One commenter said she would be very upset if a family member did not tell her she was with a child because it's like she doesn't want her kin to celebrate the pregnancy.

"I would feel betrayed and not trusted," the commenter said.

Mom had a valid reason for not openly celebrating the pregnancy

Speaking with Inside Edition, Cameron-Cheyne explained her choice to keep quiet about her pregnancy. The mother has been through five miscarriages before finally giving birth to her son, Tyrian.

Cameron-Cheyne said that one of her miscarriages was extremely traumatic for the whole family and that she wanted to spare them the pain in case the pregnancy would not take once again. She also wanted a "quiet pregnancy" without being hounded by constant messages, given her previous miscarriages.

Her own children didn't know she was having a baby again until the 35th week of her pregnancy. The mom said no one asked her when her belly started showing because her family is "very body positive." She also wore a lot of baggy clothes when she was getting bigger.

To be clear, however, Cameron-Cheyne said that no one in her family was hurt or upset when they realized she had kept her pregnancy a secret.

Mom with twins didn't let the family know she birthed two babies

In another heartwarming secret baby story, Anna Brooks Williams did tell her family she was pregnant, but she and her husband decided they would not let them know they were having twins, per AOL.

Her mom was already choked up when she visited Williams at the hospital hours after giving birth. Her mother was cuddling the tot in her arms when the nurse brought in Williams' second daughter and made the surprise reveal.

At first, it didn't register to Williams' mom that she had twins, and then she got even more emotional after realizing what was happening.

The mother and daughter then made a video call to Williams' dad, who was betting on a boy. Her daughter told her she had a girl and then casually showed her twin daughters. Her father was bewildered but nonetheless ecstatic about being a grandpa to twin girls.
