Beyonce and Jay-Z Want More Kids: Daughter Blue Ivy 'Needs Some Company'

Blue Ivy Carter is one lucky girl. The adorable one-year old was the subject of much press and media frenzy even before she was born, as she is the first child of superstar couple Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Beyonce first revealed her baby bump while on tour, and went back to music soon after her daughter was born. According to E! Online, Beyonce recently told ABC News that she and husband Jay-Z soon want to expand their family and give their daughter Blue some siblings.

"I would like more children," she said in an interview about her career, life and family. "I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister [to Solange]."

The superstar mama is currently headlining her Mrs. Carter Show world tour, and though things have been going great, she and her husband have also been subject to political scrutiny after their recent trip to Cuba for their fifth wedding anniversary.

"You know, it was such a beautiful trip," she said. "I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs.  And it was really, it was really educational for me.  I learned so much about so many people and the country, and [the negative reaction from the media] was actually quite shocking," she said.

Although the international diva leads a fabulous and accomplished life, Beyonce admits she's just like any other normal mom

"(My) biggest job in the world is to protect her daughter," she said. "I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life," she told ABC News. "In the back of my mind, she's my priority. And life is completely different now. So I'm-I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that's to be her mother."
