A mother, who threw a bash for her one-year-old daughter, has spoken up against the critics who said she had a Satanic-themed birthday party.

Janeth Zapata from Mexico garnered millions of views on TikTok after sharing photos and videos of the children's party in July. However, some of her followers noticed something odd about her choice to celebrate her daughter Lilith's big day.

According to the New York Post, Zapata chose a pink and black theme for Lilith, which were unusual colors for a child's birthday party. The party decorations included a piñata that some said resembled Baphomet. The character refers to a deity with a goat head, and it's often featured in occults and rituals in the 1300s with the Knights Templar.

The mom also picked a cake with what appeared to be a pentagram icing decoration. The cupcakes in black and pink also had the same embellishments. The party invitations also had a cartoonish image of Baphomet, with the words "cute as hell."

Lilith's photos were presented in a way that was not typical of a one-year-old because she was posing like an adult. Her party also didn't appear to have any guests or other children. Zapata's followers wondered and worried if she was using the birthday party as a cover for a sacrifice or ritual involving her daughter.

"We're not Satanists"

Some TikTokers also took note of the fact that Zapata named her girl after a symbol of Satanism. According to the Biblical Archeological Society, Lilith originated from Babylonian demonology. In some cultures, she is regarded as the wife of Adam before Eve.

Following a barrage of accusations, Zapata replied in the comments and clarified that she was not a Satanist. She also denied that there was anything Satanic about her ideas and the party had guests.

Zapata insisted that the star on her daughter's birthday cake was not a pentagram, and it's not inverted as some have assumed. She confirmed that the mascot was indeed Baphomet, not the devil or Satan, but she did not explain why it was her choice.

Still, other TikTok followers told the mom they were not judging her. They clearly knew that Zapata loves her daughter because she carefully thought of the theme. Others were truly delighted with the mom's idea for her birthday girl.

"I love this and I would have gone with my Heathens!" one follower said. "I wish my birthday party was like that."

One Million Moms claim Disney cartoon is Satanic

Meanwhile, a group of moms also expressed outrage over a Satanic Disney animation. One Million Moms, a Christian advocacy group, has petitioned Disney to cancel an animated program called "Little Demon" on FXX. According to the parents, the show highlights a very dangerous theme as it tells the story of a mother who gave birth to Satan's daughter.

While "Little Demon" is rated TV-MA, which means it's not for kids, One Million Moms said it's easy for kids to stumble upon this show and be introduced to the world of sorcery, demons, and witches. The parents fear that young viewers will be "inundated with secular worldviews" if this program continues to be on air.

Disney has not yet responded to the petition.
